Rostech helps the construction industry move away from imports.

Rostech State Corporation will produce rubbers for the construction and light industries, replacing foreign counterparts. The Scientific Center “Applied Chemistry (GIPH)” will master the processes of obtaining polyurethane rubbers from domestic raw materials, allowing their use in various industries, such as the production of footwear, clothing, protective coatings, and insulators.

The results obtained during the research will enable the creation of installations for the production of phosgene, which is widely used in organic synthesis and is the main raw material for obtaining polyurethane rubbers.

Polyurethane rubbers find application in various industries, including the production of rubber parts, automotive components, medical products, and hydrothermal insulation in construction. In addition, the material is used in the production of prosthetics and implants.

The main goal of the project is to develop technological processes for obtaining polyurethane rubbers based on domestic raw materials to replace imported counterparts. Currently, GIPH specialists are working on the experimental development of the phosgene synthesis process.
