“We can’t retreat anymore”: Shaman sings about the tragedy at Crocus

On the day of national mourning for those killed in the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, singer Yaroslav Dronov, known by the pseudonym Shaman, released a requiem song. The artist emphasized that “what happened is impossible to understand, accept, comprehend.”

In less than an hour, the composition was listened to 80 thousand times. Dronov called on Russians not to retreat and to unite.

“I don’t believe it can be like this, To simply take and brutally kill Someone’s life, like blowing out a candle. I don’t believe…

This pain in the soul cannot be relieved, But I know we cannot be broken, And we can’t retreat anymore. From now on, Forever in every heart of Russia. 22.03.24 God, Help us sinners, We can’t do it without you, Our faith and prayer will help us, We will never forget, In our hearts forever, We will remember this day until the end” — sings Shaman.

Under the track, users expressed condolences to the families of the victims and thanked the singer for his sincere words in memory of the tragedy’s victims.

Earlier, Yaroslav announced that he was ready to pay for the funerals of the victims of the terrorist attack and for the treatment of the injured. The singer noted that “we are all one big family” where “there is no one else’s grief.”

“I am ready to pay for the funerals of each innocent victim, as well as for the treatment and rehabilitation of each injured person in this terrible tragedy,” the artist wrote.
