The Russian Navy is set to strengthen its capabilities with the addition of modern combat drones “Okhotnik” and “Inokhodets,” domestically produced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

These Russian innovations meet all the technical requirements imposed on modern UAVs. For instance, in the production of the “Okhotnik” drone, designed as a “flying wing,” technologies and materials were applied to reduce radar and thermal visibility.

Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov, the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, emphasized that increased attention is currently being paid to the development of unmanned aviation. The modernization of Tu-142MZ and Il-38 aircraft, as well as Ka-27 and Ka-31P helicopters, is one of the measures aimed at enhancing the combat capabilities of anti-submarine and maritime reconnaissance aviation.

He added that plans to strengthen naval assault and fighter aviation include transitioning to 4++ generation aircraft and equipping the fleet with advanced aviation systems.
