A system designed for diagnosing hereditary diseases in newborns has been registered in Russia. The development can detect approximately 2,500 different hereditary diseases in the first days of a child’s life. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced this achievement during a strategic session dedicated to the implementation of initiatives for socio-economic development.

Other successes in the field of innovative medicine have also been reported. For instance, clinical trials of tissue engineering products for treating joint diseases and fractures are currently underway. This therapy will be available to a wide range of patients.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence that in the foreseeable future, Russian medical specialists and scientists will present even more beneficial products.
