Comprehensive testing of the booster block “Orion” has begun at the Vostochny Cosmodrome. Experts from the Space Center “Vostochny” of the Ground Space Infrastructure Operations Center and the Rocket and Space Corporation “Energia” named after S.P. Korolev (part of the State Corporation “Roscosmos”) extracted the booster block from its container and delivered it to the assembly and testing building.

During the testing process, pneumatic and electrical tests will be conducted. Subsequently, the booster block will be filled with fuel components and compressed gases at the filling-neutralization station.

Afterwards, the “Orion” will be integrated into the space head module for overall assembly with the “Angara-A5” launch vehicle. After transferring the rocket to the launch complex, tests with the booster block will be conducted to verify the systems before the first launch.

The “Orion” is part of the family of booster blocks DM, known for their high reliability, confirmed by over half a century of operation.
