Many Russians are planning to travel abroad for the May holidays, with demand for trips to nearby foreign countries already increasing by 30%.
According to a study conducted by the “Yandex Travel” service, the top three most popular long-haul destinations for Russians during the May holidays include Istanbul (with an average round-trip ticket price of 51,900 rubles), Dubai (63,600 rubles), and Beijing (58,900 rubles). Travelers also plan to visit Belgrade, with tickets averaging 110,000 rubles.
As for the most popular nearby foreign destinations, they are Yerevan (31,000 rubles), Tbilisi (46,100 rubles), and Tashkent (32,700 rubles). Minsk and Baku also made it to the top five, with ticket prices averaging 14,400 and 32,800 rubles, respectively.
