Experts have revealed the prices for custom tours to the most sought-after regions for independent travelers during the May holidays.
The average cost of adventure and cycling tours, gastronomic and ethnocultural journeys, as well as mountain hikes, has increased by 15.6% over the year, with demand for them rising by 7%.
According to YouTravel.me, Dagestan has become one of the most popular destinations for people opting for this type of holiday during the May holidays. The average cost of a tour to this region is 38.6 thousand rubles, which is 13% more expensive than in 2023.
Altai ranked second. The average cost of a tour is 47 thousand rubles (+21% compared to last year).
Also popular among Russians are Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia, and Karachay-Cherkessia.
Experts have noted the increase in the cost of vacations in these regions. For example, in 2023, the average price for a tour to Kabardino-Balkaria was 29 thousand rubles, while in 2024, it is 53 thousand rubles.
