Hockey and car rally competitions take place on the Amur River
In the Primorsky Krai, joint Russian-Chinese winter games have opened in an unusual location: a two-day venue for hockey and car competitions has been organized on the Amur River.
Russian Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, Alexey Chekunkov, emphasized the significance of this event as a celebration of sports and friendship between Russia and China. He wished the athletes a worthy performance on behalf of the friendship between the two countries and conveyed wishes for robust health and lasting friendly relations to the Chinese athletes in their native language.
On February 24, hockey competitions took place, and the following day, car rally races will be held featuring three classes of vehicles.
Additionally, the first International Ice Postcard on the Amur River was presented at the competitions. It was created jointly by artists from Russia and China, with the participation of Vasily Orlov, the governor of the Amur Region, and sports commentator Dmitry Guberniev. The image of a bear and a panda holding hockey sticks will remain until the ice melts.
