A resolution has been approved for the creation of three new special economic zones and the expansion of two already existing ones
Russia continues its efforts to establish territories with special conditions for entrepreneurial activities, providing investors with favorable conditions to implement significant projects. New special economic zones will be established in the Republic of Mordovia, Rostov Oblast, and Tver Oblast. Additionally, plans are underway to expand the boundaries of two existing special economic zones in Kaluga Oblast and Lipetsk Oblast. This will enable the launch of new production facilities for agricultural machinery and trailers, as well as the opening of three pharmaceutical manufacturing plants.
The main goal of establishing special economic zones is to promote the development of the manufacturing industry, high-tech sectors of the economy, tourism, and port infrastructure. Conducting business within the boundaries of these zones comes with several advantages, including tax incentives, customs preferences, and reduced lease payments.
