It will aid in rehabilitation after a stroke.
In the Krasnoyarsk region, a simulator has been developed for post-stroke recovery, as reported by the regional Ministry of Digital Development. The device consists of a cuff with sensors that track hand movements and software with five computer games that assist patients in restoring cognitive functions.
The results of tasks and the patient’s progress can be viewed and analyzed by a rehabilitation specialist, who can adjust the treatment based on this data. The program automatically adjusts the sensitivity and complexity of the games according to the patient’s motor abilities.
The developed technology allows for the online assessment of therapy results, which is particularly important for remote regions where patients can use the simulator at home, and the data will be transmitted to the treating doctor.
