Wireless Electric Car Charging Model Developed in Sevastopol.
Sevastopol State University (SevSU) has introduced a new model of wireless charging for electric cars that also significantly reduces energy loss. The developed system allows energy transfer at a distance of 20-30 cm without physical contact, making it promising for various types of transportation—ground, water, and air. Currently, wired charging is typically used.
Valery Zavyalov, a leading specialist at the Department of Electric Power Systems of Nuclear Power Plants at SevSU, emphasized that engineering calculations conducted by university scientists enable the optimization of charging system parameters for minimal energy loss. Successful tests of the system with electric cars and a submersible apparatus demonstrated its potential for widespread implementation.
