Sugar is a dangerous product, excessive consumption of which can lead to the development of serious diseases. It is important to understand that it is contained not only in sweets but also in sauces, ready-made breakfasts, canned vegetables, and other products.

A quite reasonable question arises: what will happen to the body if you give up sugar for some time? Foreign scientists tried to answer it.

According to them, if you abstain from sugar for some time, for example, for a week, changes related to appearance will occur. Structural proteins – elastin and collagen – are important for maintaining youthfulness, and during glycation, when glucose binds to them, changes occur that provoke aging.

Reducing the sugar level reduces chronic inflammation associated with aging, scientists emphasized.

They added that giving up sugar for a week can make a person happier because its excessive consumption is often associated with a higher level of depression in a person.

Moreover, just seven days without sugar, according to specialists, will lead to changes in weight – it will start to decrease.
