MAI had this idea.
The Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) is developing an unmanned helicopter designed for flights in Venus’s atmosphere and operations on its surface.
The key feature of the development will be a rotor system similar to that of a helicopter. Thanks to this system, scientific research can be conducted both above the Earth and on the surface of Venus, maneuvering through obstacles.
The vehicle will be capable of taking high-quality images of the surface and creating a topographic map for subsequent analysis of geological features. Developers also plan to install sensors on the vehicle to measure temperature, pressure, and other atmospheric parameters to study the gas composition and climatic conditions on the planet.
