Every third Russian who works from home regularly approaches the refrigerator, reports “Gazeta.Ru” citing a study conducted by “ХОЛОДИЛЬНИК.РУ” and Mono-Stil.
According to analysts, the reasons for this behavior vary among individuals: 16% regularly approach the refrigerator out of boredom, for 32% it’s another way to distract themselves, while 56% genuinely feel a constant desire to snack.
The majority of respondents (75%) rarely approach the refrigerator, only doing so when they need to put something in or take something out. Among them, 18% check the refrigerator every few hours or less frequently, while 7% do so every 5 minutes.
Interestingly, 33% of people get annoyed when a family member looks into the refrigerator. 55% of respondents are indifferent to such behavior, while 12% cannot determine their reaction as they live alone.
When asked about the reasons for this behavior, 46% jokingly replied that they hope to find something tasty there. According to 26% of Russians, they cannot accept the fact that they did not find anything suitable for a snack. However, for 32% of respondents, the regular visits to the refrigerator were explained as a result of a harmful habit.
