VI All-Russian Investment Sabantuy “Zauralye-2024”
From May 24 to 26, Bashkortostan hosted the annual All-Russian Investment Sabantuy for the sixth time. “Zauralye-2024” served as a hub for over 10 countries, including Russia’s partners Belarus, China, Turkey, Iran, and Uzbekistan.
“The goal and objective are simple: we want to energize and further develop the economy of Zauralye. It is crucial now to move into the realm of real actions. The start is promising,” emphasized the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, outlining the main goals of the sabantuy. This event traditionally brings together various levels of government in Russia, from federal ministries to municipal representatives. The event is organized by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The official opening ceremony was conducted by the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan, Andrey Nazarov. “This is a large-scale all-Russian event. It is aimed not only at addressing the development issues of Zauralye or Bashkortostan. The tasks set here are much broader—building relationships, interethnic, and interstate with our friends and partners from other countries. And it is worth noting that the number of international participants is growing every year,” Andrey Nazarov told the sabantuy participants.
During plenary sessions and round tables, the most pressing issues for Russia are discussed: the development of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), fostering friendly relations between near and far-abroad countries, supporting small and medium enterprises, digitalization, and the development of tourism.
In addition to discussions and cultural exchanges, the All-Russian Investment Sabantuy “Zauralye” is an effective way to attract investments to the region. From 2019 to 2023, the Republic of Bashkortostan attracted over 2 trillion 300 million rubles in capital investments. This is the result of the coordinated efforts of the large team led by the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov.
